Problem Solving and Other Creative Activities:
The world over today, problem solving and the ability to think and figure your way out of challenges have taken centre stage. At the Triple Fun Club, there are plethora of activities designed to stimulate real life demands. At times, and especially for the younger children, there is an instructor of the organization who may guide the child in tackling whatever challenge is before him or her until he or she is quite comfortable with the process.
Some of the strategies we've adopted to develop these skills include but are not limited to activities like: crosswords, puzzles, building blocks and toys they can assemble and disassemble. Sometimes, ICT versions of these activities are equally used as against their physical counterparts. The ICT version indeed allows for unlimited manipulations and options for most of these activities.
It is equally important to note there are tons and tons of board games we utilize for their various roles. While we are grateful for the very tradiotional ones like Chess, Monopoly and Scrabble, there are also other assorted and exotic board games we use to enhance very specific skills of the children. For the older children and those who have affinities for designs and constructions, there are quite a couple of complex projects that till date most have not been able to complete. Since everyone loves that sense of having accomplished a task, we ensure these activities are taken in increaments that will not overwhelm them thereby fostering confidence to tackle some more difficult tasks as we move on. It is these feelings of accomplishment they bring into their futures as accomplished adults who knows what it takes to tackle and clear challenges.
