At the Triple Fun Club, we use reading, poetry, raps, speech and impromptu presentations to achieve clarity, poise and confidence in children. As a parent mildly puts it, ''who will not read with the way we've surrounded the children with all manner of books and literature?" In 2008, the Triple Fun annual Literary and Oratory awards for children and teenagers kicked-off. 2019 marked the 1oth anniversary and the 12th year in a row the awards would hold.
In 2009, Chief Dele Momodu, the publisher of Ovation International and 2011 presidential aspirant, equally supported the activities of the Triple Fun Club.
We are thankful for the very many who have contributed in one way or the other to the success of the Triple Fun Club. Such people include Professor (Mrs.) Akachi Adimora-Ezeigbo, winner of the NLNG children's literature award in 2007, Mrs. Rosemary Shimite Erazua-Oniha, Dr. Chika Unigwe, winner of the 2012 NLNG prize for literature and Professor Unoma Azuah.
In 2010, the founder of the Triple Fun Club, Mr. Chidi Ononye, received the Inspire Africa 'Naija Diamonds' award for his relentless efforts toward the development of education in Rivers State and Nigeria at large. Awards in like manner from organisations like The Rotary Club and a number of schools have equally been received over the years.
Having worked with over 15 schools, it eventually became imperative to narrow down the activities of the Triple Fun Club to a few schools with Bereton Montessori Nursery and Primary School, Stadium Road, Port Harcourt at the fore front. The bulk of the activities of the Triple Fun Club are presently handled at the Triple Fun Centre in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Over time, the Triple Fun Club has developed into a full-fledged academic support programme for children in various schools. The after-school club has Math, Science, Grammar and Composition at the heart of its exams preparatory. It is our belief that children who are well-grounded in these areas will do very well in any other area.
Indeed, problem solving will be a walk in the park for as many children as will eventually command a mastery of these subject areas.
Our Staff:
We have a team of dedicated personnel cutting across different fields like Engineering, Computer Science, Accounting, English Language, Linguistics and Communications, Business Administration and so on. The major idea behind such a diverse workforce is to ensure a robust pool of knowledge-sharers who are committed to every child's academic and extra-curricula success. We position our teachers and instructors with a view to maximize areas of strength while minimizing their weaknesses.
At the Triple Fun Club, safety and personnel training are very top priorities. In fact, improving self and ensuring the children are safe is at the top-most rung of the organisation's 'constant and never ending improvement' philosophy.
